The Ladder School is a brand-new school for Walsall, to cater for the needs of young people within the local community; to offer something different educationally. The Ladder School will support young people at risk of exclusion from mainstream provision, primarily because of behavioural difficulties or because their needs cannot be met in a mainstream setting.
The Ladder School is a free school that is part of the Mercian Trust and The Ladder School will become the newest member to a diverse family of schools. Students who attend The Ladder School will be dual rolled with their ‘home’ school, to offer a wraparound alternative education provision, to ensure that students can succeed and to enable them to make a positive contribution to their families, the local community and wider society.
