Grammar School students hit new heights
Students at the Mercian Trust’s two selective grammar schools have achieved amongst the very best A Level results in England. The most successful schools in the country at increasing the number of disadvantaged students in receipt of pupil premium in their cohorts, Queen Mary’s Grammar School and Queen Mary’s High School are also celebrating students’ exceptionally high grades. With more students achieving A* and A grades and record numbers of A*-B grades too, some of the most academic able students from Walsall and the surrounding areas are now set to take their next steps into top Russell Group universities, including a number to Oxbridge, and to highly competitive degree apprenticeship programmes with prestigious employers.
